Risk and Compliance Lawyer | Fixed Term Contract

Our client a Global Law firm, ranked within the top 10 are currently looking to recruit a Risk & Compliance Lawyer - for a Fixed Term 12 Month Contract, to be undertaken in their modern plan offices in Newcastle. The team currently comprises of circa60 staff, but with firm intentions to grow significantly within the next 5 years. THE ROLE This is a rare and unique opportunity to join this multi award winning firm as a Risk and Compliance Lawyer. Working for a global law firm, you will be based out of the Newcastle office, working in close collaboration with one of our clients London based Senior Risk & Compliance Lawyers. You will be an integral part of the firms Risk and Compliance team, and despite being based in Newcastle, you will very much be involved in day to day business of the team, involved in weekly meetings via telephone and video conference. - Full supervision and support is available from the teams Risk and Compliance Lawyers with regular meetings both in person and over the phone/conference -Your caseload will be very varied and often complex and although mainly internally based there is the possibility of being involved with client facing work. Some international travel may also be required. -A challenging, yet exciting role awaits you, from Advising partners, fee earners and the Risk & Compliance Team on potential conflicts of interests, confidentiality and disclosure issues to working in close collaboration with the firms international Compliance Teams including Australia, Canada, USA and South Africa on potential conflicts.
